Determination of Temperature-dependent Thermal Conductivity in a Two-dimensional Heat Conduction System
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article presents a numerical method for the determination of temperature-dependentthermal conductivity of a solid. Problems in which this method is intended for are steady-statetwo-dimensional heat conduction problems. The numerical method is based on the boundaryelement method, and requires the linearization of the the steady-state nonlinear heat equation bythe Kirchhoffs transformation. Numerical tests of the method are performed by conducting simulatedexperiments using a sample experiment setup. Knowledge of total applied heat input and steadystatetemperature measurements is required. The results of the tests show that the proposed methodcan effectively provide an accurate solution.
