The Participation of Traders in The Solid Waste Management of Flea Market, Phuwiang Amphur, Khon Kaen

The Participatory action research was aimed to study the participation of trader in the solid waste management of Flea market, Phuwiang Amphur Khon Kaen. The sample size composed of 97 merchants, and from 8 mobile markets. Tools used to collect data include: questionnaire, focus group discussion, and intervention. The intervention include: problems analysis, planning for solving the problem, implementation, and evaluation. Study time between December, 2016 to March, 2017. The results showed that the Flea market produced garbage average 20.45 kilograms per day. Average waste is 17.61 kg per day. Those garbage were degradable waste, average 17.61 kilograms per day, and general solid waste, average 2.2 kilograms per day. After intervention found that target groups participated in activity, and traders 96.6 % carried out the garbage sort out, capable reduce the trash was 12.42 kilograms per day. The solid waste management knowledge level of traders, before intervention was in high level 95.87%. And after intervention, knowledge level in hihe level 97.93%
