Abstract

Graduate studies aim at developing academicians and professionals to higher levels with research
as key competency, abilities to seek knowledge, learn and create new knowledge through research. Research
at the graduate level in Thailand is being promoted widely with more important roles through the related
educational standards and criteria related to research. Issues on the forms and quantity of research at
graduate level, research problems/ topics and scope, research methodologies, research dissemination, research
management as well as research ethics have been discussed. Development of graduate research needs
contribution of all stakeholders: administrators, faculty members and graduate students towards the
development of graduate studies and the body of knowledge in all disciplines.
