Drugs Using Behaviors of Drug Addicts in a Rehabilitation Center of Kwan Pandin Centers in North East Thailand

The purposes of the studies were to evaluate drug using behaviors and to and examine the factors relating to taking methamphetamines together with other illegal drugs of drug. The study showed that the average age of the research subjects was 25.6 years. More than 13.85% of subjects were still in school. The highest education most subjects had were high school or vocational certificate, 43.85%. 60% were temporary hired workers. 82.31% averaged 3 siblings (SD1.4). 47.7% of the subjects used methamphetamine in combination with other illegal substances. Most of the subjects had a high level of knowledge in the dangers of drugs, 68.46%; their attitudes towards using drugs, 52.31%; and family duty, 43.85%. The factors of using methamphetamines in combination with other illegal drugs that were not statistically significant included education level (p-value = 0.111), career (p-value = 0.07), number of family members (p-value = 0.304), knowledge in the dangers of drugs (p-value = 0.422). On the other hand, the factors of using methamphetamines in combination with other illegal drugs that were statistically significant included attitudes towards using drugs (p-value = 0.015), and family duty (p-value = 0.008).
