Abstract

This analytical research, case-control study aimed to study factors associated with nephropathy complication among the patients with type 2 diabetes. The study in type 2 diabetic patients with nephropathy complications and without nephropathy complications 262 persons. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and multiple logistic regression analysis. The results showed that the factors associated with nephropathy complication among the patients with type 2 diabetes, are age ≥ 70 years (ORadj =5.77, 95%CI=3.00-9.32), Behavior that has been drinking or is currently drinking (ORadj =3.77, 95%CI=1.96-8.49), Recognition of nephropathy complication a moderate level or bad level (ORadj =4.47, 95%CI=2.30-8.49) Because of the results, Patients with type 2 diabetes still have low to moderate levels of awareness. Behaviors of drinking alcoholic beverages which affects kidney complications. Should create awareness and understanding of health care behaviors that affect kidney function.
