Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the specific physical fitness of each positional player in university male handball team. Method This study there were enrolled all of Burapha university handball male team (n = 6) age of 18-25 years old. This study performed a purposive sampling for specific player positions. Participants were assessed for strength of upper extremity muscles by handgrip strength test. Assessing the strength and endurance of the abdominal muscles and hip muscles with sit-up test and an agility assessment with 30-meter sprint test., using Kruskal-Wallis test to determine the statistical significance level at p- value <.05. Results It has been found that the handgrip strength, core muscles strength, and speed at a distance of 30 meters were not statistically significant differences. (p > .05). This study concluded that the physical fitness of the handball athlete's individual position of university male handball team has no difference in the strength of upper extremities, the strength of the core muscles, speed and agility. Conclude that all of Burapha university male handball players have the same performance level.
