Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study the survival rates of patients with stage 4 colon and rectal cancer and to compare the survival rates of patients after treatment classified by demographic characteristics, disease characteristics, and treatment methods. This study is a retrospective analytical study. (Retrospective cohort study) The study results found that the survival rates after diagnosis at 1, 2, 3 and 4 years were 25.5 (95% CI; 20.36-31.47), 9.2 (95% CI; 6.12-13.62), 11.2 (95% CI; 7.84- 16.01) and 7.5 (95% CI; 7.49-15.54). Comparison of survival rates among patients with stage 4 colon and rectal cancer treated at Srinagarind Hospital. Faculty of Medicine Khon Kaen University Classified by various variables, it was found that surgical treatment and treatment by chemotherapy The survival rates of patients with stage IV colorectal cancer were significantly different (p-value < 0.05), with surgical intervention having the highest survival rate, p-value = 0.0068 and secondary. down to chemotherapy treatment, p-value =0.0251.Therefore, the best prevention is early detection. To receive treatment quickly will help prolong survival time.
