The Influence of Appreciative Inquiry and Communication on people’s Participation in Waste Management in Khonsan District, Chaiyaphum Province

This cross-sectional descriptive research aimed to study appreciative inquiry and communication affecting the participation of people in waste management in the Khonsan district of Chaiyaphum province, Thailand. 274 family representatives were randomly selected as samples by stratified random sampling techniques from 8,366 populations. Data were collected by questionnaires. Data analysis was performed by descriptive and inferential statistics as significant level at 0.05. The results showed that, overall of appreciative inquiry, communication, and the participation of people in waste management were at a moderate levels. Six factors of the appreciative inquiry including; 1) dream, 2) define, 3) destiny the communication; 4)Verbal communication, 5) technology in communication and 6) written communication were affecting the participation in waste management of people at Khonsan district, Chaiyaphum province, at 75.1 percent. (R2 = 0.751, p-value < 0.001).
