Organizational Climate and Organizational Support Affecting the Knowledge Management Process among Health Personnel in Bangkok Khon Kaen Hospital

Abstract

This descriptive cross-sectional research aimed to study organizational climate and organizational support affecting the knowledge management process among health personnel in Bangkok Khon Kaen hospital, Thailand. A set of 159 health personnel was randomly selected by stratified random sampling technique from 514 of populations. The quantitative data was collected by using the questionnaires and In-depth interview guidelines were using for the qualitative data. The data analysis was performed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that the overall level of Organizational Climate, organizational support and knowledge management process among health personnel in Bangkok Khon Kaen hospital were at a high level with average of 4.31 (S.D.=0.47), 4.29 (S.D.=0.52) and 4.29 (S.D.=0.50), respectively. Four variables composed of organizational support in management, organizational climate in performance standards, organizational support in materials and organizational climate in reward, affected and could jointly predict the knowledge management process among health personnel in Bangkok Khon Kaen hospital at 80.5% (R2 = 0.805, p-value<0.001)
