However, the construction phase is recognized as a major contributor to carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. This study aims to investigate and analyze project management factors that contribute to CO2 emission reduction in railway infrastructure construction projects in Thailand. A quantitative research approach was employed. Based on an extensive literature review, 27 project management variables were identified and incorporated into a five-point Likert scale questionnaire. Data were collected from 407 practitioners involved in railway infrastructure construction projects and analyzed using descriptive statistics and Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). The results reveal that the extracted factors explain a total variance of 70.538% and can be classified into four principal components: (1) Project Planning and Management Approaches, (2) Site and Resource Management, (3) Personnel and Stakeholder Readiness, and (4) Standards and Operational Control. The findings indicate that strategic planning, managerial support, stakeholder cooperation, and systematic operational control play a significant role in reducing CO2 emissions during the construction phase. This study provides practical and policy-relevant insights for enhancing project management practices in railway infrastructure construction, thereby supporting sustainable carbon emission reduction and long-term infrastructure sustainability in Thailand.
2026-06-28T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 KKU Research Journal (Graduate Studies) https://ph02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/gskku/article/view/261315 Evaluation of Antioxidant Activity and Polyphenol Content in Aqueous and Ethanolic Crude Extracts of the Medicinal Mushroom Species Sanghuangporus sp. 2025-10-09T09:51:08+07:00 Orathai Sertsri 64010257009@msu.ac.th Khwanyuruan Naksuwankul Naksu@gmail.com Sittiporn Parnmen Parnm@gmail.com
This study aimed to evaluate the antioxidant activity and polyphenolic content of crude extracts from Sanghuangporus spp., using two different solvents: 95% ethanol and hot water (95°C for 1 hour). Participants were categorized based on ultrasound findings into two groups: cases (n=262), who were diagnosed with hepatobiliary disease, and controls (n=271), who were not diagnosed with such conditions. Secondary data were obtained from the Cholangiocarcinoma Screening and Care Program (CASCAP) and farmers health surveillance records from the Occupational Disease Surveillance Project, which covered the same region. Descriptive statistics were used to describe the prevalence, and inferential statistics, including the Chi-square test, were used to analyze associations at a significance level of 0.05. The results revealed a spatial distribution of abnormal serum cholinesterase levels and hepatobiliary diseases, with Kalasin province showing the highest prevalence (18.57% and 19.14%, respectively). Significant differences were observed between the case and control groups among farmers who were under fifty years of age, Opisthorchis viverrini infection, treatment history for O. viverrini, agricultural practices, patterns of pesticide use, and serum cholinesterase levels. These findings suggest for further investigation of risk factors and its association with pesticide exposure for health surveillance among pesticide-using farmers and for formulating suitable area-specific preventive strategies against pesticide-related risks.
2025-06-28T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 KKU Research Journal (Graduate Studies) https://ph02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/gskku/article/view/258135 Administrative Factors and Key Success Factors Affecting the Risk Management in the Practice of Thai Traditional Medicine Personnel at Community Hospitals in Health Region 7 2025-04-18T22:48:44+07:00 Chaiwat Sriphor Sriph@gmail.com Prachak Bouphan bprach@kku.ac.th Surachai Phimha Phimha@gmail.com
This cross-sectional descriptive research aimed to study the administrative factors and key success factors affecting risk management in the practice of Thai traditional medicine personnel in community hospitals in Health Region 7. Rendle, Zingiber montanum (J.Koenig) A.Dietr., and Zingiber zerumbet (L.) Roscoe ex Sm. It reduces fever and relieves pain. Some individuals contend that C. nardus may adversely affect their skin. The aim of this study was to evaluate the possibility of replacing C. nardus with Cymbopogon citratus (DC.) Stapf in the Tri-phon-that formulation. We investigated and compared the anti-inflammatory activity, chemical composition, and stability of the modified formulation with the original one. The findings demonstrated that the Tri-phon-that formulation with C. citratus exhibited anti-inflammatory properties comparable to the original recipe, as indicated by its similar effects on nitric oxide and interleukin-6 production. Chemical studies revealed that both formulations contained zerumbone, compound D, and DMPBD. Accelerated stability testing, conversely, revealed a significant decrease in the levels of DMPBD and zerumbone after day 30. At this stage, the anti-inflammatory activity of both extracts started to decrease. Our findings indicated that C. nardus can be substituted with C. citratus. Both extracts exhibited instability under accelerated conditions. They should be maintained at low temperatures for preservation purposes.
2024-06-29T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 KKU Research Journal (Graduate Studies) https://ph02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/gskku/article/view/263290 Chemical and Biological Stability of Thai Traditional Pain Relief Remedy named “Yaa-Thaa-Phra-Sen” Under Forced Degradation and Accelerated Storage Conditions 2026-01-30T22:19:48+07:00 Pattama Sriumpai Sriump@gmail.com Arunporn Itharat Itharat@gmail.com Pranporn Kuropakornpong Kurop@gmail.com Ubonwan Ubonwan Saesiw Ubo@gmail.com Saovapak Poomirat Poomirat Poo@gmail.com Srisopa Ruangnoo srisopar@tu.ac.th
Yaa-Thaa-Phra-Sen (YTPS) is a traditional Thai remedy composed of 13 herbs, with Drypetes roxburghii Wall. as the main ingredient. It has long been used in Thai traditional medicine (TTM) to alleviate pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis. This study aimed to evaluate the stability of YTPS extract under forced degradation and accelerated storage conditions. Forced degradation was performed under thermal, moisture, acid, alkaline, and oxidative conditions. The extract was also stored under accelerated conditions (40 ± 2ºC, 75 ± 5% RH) for 6 months. Stability was assessed by measuring ellagic acid content using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), anti-inflammatory activity via nitric oxide (NO) inhibition, and antioxidant activity via DPPH assay. The results showed that acid hydrolysis and oxidation significantly reduced ellagic acid content, as well as anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities. In contrast, alkaline hydrolysis increased ellagic acid content. Under accelerated storage conditions, ellagic acid and antioxidant activity remained stable, whereas anti-inflammatory activity declined. The conclusion is crucial to avoid acidic conditions during preparation to preserve the efficacy of the YTPS extract, and the inclusion of an antioxidant agent is recommended to prevent degradation. Both hot and cold preparation methods were found to be effective. Based on accelerated stability data, the extract is estimated to have a tentative shelf life of one year.
2024-06-29T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 KKU Research Journal (Graduate Studies) https://ph02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/gskku/article/view/263625 Clinical Effectiveness and Safety of Metta-Osot Cannabis Oil in Patients with Insomnia: A Quasi-Experimental Study 2026-03-18T13:08:27+07:00 Jagavet Tontan jagavet.08@gmail.com Koonlanat Punyanuwat Pun@gmail.com Supanna Praputtam Prapu@gmail.com Srisuphak Nantha Nantha@gmail.com Thanwa Buamahakul Buam@gmail.com Jakkrit Maprajong Mapr@gmil.com Srisopa Ruangnoo Ruang@gmail.com
This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Metta-osot cannabis oil in treating Insomnia.
