The prototype employs two direct current (DC) motors for locomotion and one DC motor for grass cutting, powered by a lithium battery as the primary energy source. The experimental phase consisted of two parts: (1) determining the accuracy of approaching designated reference points, and (2) evaluating mowing time efficiency in a 100 m² lawn. Five reference points were set for the positioning experiment, with ten trials conducted. Results indicated that the average closest approach to the designated points was 1.63 meters. For the mowing time evaluation, the GPS-controlled semi-automatic mower was compared to a manually operated mower. The manual mower achieved an average mowing time of 24.46 minutes, whereas the semi-automatic mower required 39.03 minutes. This corresponds to the GPS-controlled mower being slower by 14.57 minutes, with an overall efficiency of 75.01% relative to the manual mower.</p> Pokket Juntakol Worraphan Sombuttera Sujitra Pharanad Munee Chantarank Jindaphorn Suebkumpet Copyright (c) 2026 SciTech Research Journal 2026-08-30 2026-08-30 9 2 1 10 A Study and Comparison of Plastic Waste Recycling into Plant Pots Using a Hot Air Oven Process. https://ph02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jstrmu/article/view/263020 <p>This research aimed to investigate the appropriate material quantity and processing time for converting plastic waste into plant pots using a hot-air oven at a constant temperature of 250 °C in order to add value to plastic waste. Three types of plastics were selected for this study: high-density polyethylene (HDPE), polypropylene (PP), and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). This study employed an experimental research design in which each type of plastic waste was shredded into small pieces, then melted and molded into plant pots using a mold under a constant temperature of 250 °C with varying heating times. Changes in weight and product quality were recorded. The results revealed that HDPE exhibited the most suitable forming performance at a heating time of 75 minutes, requiring an average of 569 g per product and producing smooth and homogeneous surfaces. PP showed optimal results at 90 minutes with an average material consumption of 275 g per product and satisfactory product quality. Although PVC could be molded, it generated pungent odors and caused air pollution during processing, making it unsuitable for recycling using a hot-air oven. These findings indicate that the control of plastic type and heating time is a critical factor in the plastic waste recycling process.</p> Wongphaka Pimpha Ranaporn Senasutham Worakit Changjutturus Pennart Klanwari Copyright (c) 2026 SciTech Research Journal 2026-08-30 2026-08-30 9 2 11 22 Optimization of Bio-Fermented Liquid Fertilizer Production from Leucaena leucocephala Leaves https://ph02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jstrmu/article/view/263459 <p>This study aimed to determine the optimal conditions for producing bio-fermented liquid fertilizer from <em>Leucaena leucocephala</em> leaves by evaluating four factors: leaf quantity, molasses quantity, microbial inoculant type, and fermentation duration. The experiment was conducted using a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD), with three replications for each treatment. The results showed that the optimal conditions consisted of 10 kg of <em>L. leucocephala</em> leaves, 6 kg of molasses, Effective Microorganisms (EM) as the microbial inoculant, and a fermentation period of 4 weeks. These conditions provided suitable levels of major nutrients, particularly total nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. The study also found that fermentation beyond 8 weeks led to excessive potassium accumulation, which may cause phytotoxic effects if the liquid fertilizer is applied without proper dilution. In addition, Effective Microorganisms (EM) maintained relatively stable pH throughout the fermentation period, indicating its suitability for controlling the quality of the fermented liquid fertilizer. The resulting product could reduce production costs by more than 70% compared with chemical fertilizers. These findings provide fundamental information for producing bio-fermented liquid fertilizer from local resources and support sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture.</p> Wittawat Phonjaroen Narong Kotchabhakdi Paiboon Muymas Punchavee Sombutsiri Copyright (c) 2026 SciTech Research Journal 2026-08-30 2026-08-30 9 2 23 42 Factors Affecting Operations of Village Health Volunteers in Health Management Villages in Mueang District, Maha Sarakham Province. https://ph02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jstrmu/article/view/263629 <p>This descriptive research aimed to study: (1) knowledge and psycho-social factors in the operations of health management villages; (2) operations of village health volunteers (VHVs) in running health management villages; (3) relationship between knowledge and psycho-social factors and operations of VHVs in health management Villages in Mueang District, Maha Sarakham Province.</p> <p> The study population is VHVs 2,772 random sampling of taro Yamane 350 using the stratified random sampling. A questionnaire was a research tool used with the reliability values for psycho-social, knowledge, and operation parts of 0.923, 0.921 and 0.938 respectively. Data were collected and then analyzed using descriptive statistics, Chi-square test, and correlation coefficient.</p> <p> The findings revealed that: (1) the participants had overall knowledge about health management village at the high level and overall psycho-social factors at the high level; (2) the overall operations of health management villages were at the high level; (3) overall Period of performing duties VHVs knowledge and psycho-social factors were significantly associated with VHVs operations in health management villages.</p> Niwat Suvanna Poonsak Sirisom Maliwan Moolchan Copyright (c) 2026 SciTech Research Journal 2026-08-30 2026-08-30 9 2 43 60 IoT-Based Air Quality Monitoring and Surveillance System https://ph02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jstrmu/article/view/264009 <p>This study aimed to develop and evaluate an Internet of Things (IoT)-based system for monitoring indoor particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter of less than 2.5 µm (PM2.5) and carbon dioxide (CO<sub>2</sub>). The system integrated PMS3003 and MH-Z14A sensors with a Raspberry Pi for data acquisition and processing. Measurements were displayed locally on an LCD, transmitted via Wi-Fi to a database, and visualized through a Grafana Dashboard. Telegram was used to report events when the measurements exceeded the predefined operational thresholds. The evaluation included a comparison of the sensor readings with a commercial monitoring device using 10 paired observations and a functional verification of data transmission, visualization, and event reporting. Within the tested ranges, the PMS3003 achieved an of 0.974, a mean absolute error (MAE) of 0.58 µg/m³, and a root mean square error (RMSE) of 0.78 µg/m³. The MH-Z14A achieved an of 1.000, an MAE of 1.90 ppm, and an RMSE of 2.07 ppm. The values displayed on the LCD and Grafana Dashboard were consistent, and the system changed its status and sent Telegram messages when PM2.5 and CO<sub>2</sub> exceeded the operational thresholds of 50 µg/m³ and 1,200 ppm, respectively. These findings demonstrate the feasibility of the prototype for monitoring, visualizing, and reporting indoor air-quality events within the experimental setting. This study focuses on defining the scope for economic feasibility analysis and analyzing environmental impacts through environmental mechanisms in accordance with the Thailand Voluntary Emission Reduction Program (T-VER) (baseline case only). The analysis results show that a generation capacity of 9.75 MW is optimal, with a total project value of 2,140,367,540 THB and a 20-year project lifetime under the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) policy. The results of the economic analysis show a net present value (NPV) of 258,648,792.41 THB, an internal rate of return (IRR) of 7.63%, and a payback period of 8.26 years. The results of the environmental impact analysis show that, under an assumed efficiency (eff) of 80%, the generation capacity is 7.8 MW. If 5% of the generated electricity is consumed on-site, this corresponds to 0.39 MW, while the remaining 7.41 MW is supplied to the grid. The waste-to-energy power plant project has greenhouse gas emissions under the baseline case of 28,529.56 tCO₂/year. Therefore, waste-to-energy electricity generation can contribute to solving energy challenges while mitigating environmental impacts.</p> กมลเนตร ดวงเพียราช Lakkhana Woranam Pornpimol Loylom Ariya Malai Worawat Sa-ngiamvibool Copyright (c) 2026 SciTech Research Journal 2026-08-30 2026-08-30 9 2 79 90 Development of an Application for the Audio-Visual Equipment Borrowing System of the Faculty of Nursing, Mahasarakham University https://ph02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jstrmu/article/view/264828 <p><strong>Abstract </strong></p> <p><strong>Background and Aims:</strong> The traditional paper-based system for audiovisual equipment borrowing and returning services has limitations regarding operational delays and the inability of users to check equipment status in real-time. Therefore, this research aimed to: 1) develop an audiovisual equipment borrowing and returning application for the Faculty of Nursing, Mahasarakham University; 2) study user satisfaction with the application; and 3) compare user satisfaction with the borrowing and returning services before and after the implementation of the application.</p> <p><strong>Methodology:</strong> The sample group consisted of 186 instructors, personnel, and students from the Faculty of Nursing, Mahasarakham University, selected through Systematic Random Sampling. The sample was divided into a control group of 93 participants and an experimental group of 93 participants. The research instruments included: 1) the audiovisual equipment borrowing and returning application, which was evaluated for quality by 3 experts, 2) a questionnaire assessing satisfaction with the traditional service with an Item Objective Congruence (IOC) index of 0.89-1.00, and 3) a questionnaire assessing satisfaction with the application with an IOC index of 0.93-1.00. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and t-test.</p> <p><strong>Results:</strong> 1.The developed audiovisual equipment borrowing and returning application consists of three main components: (1) a transaction form module, (2) a data storage and processing module, and (3) an automatic status notification module. 2. The overall user satisfaction with the application was at the highest level (x̄ = 4.78, S.D. = 0.45) 3. The comparison revealed that user satisfaction after using the application was significantly higher than before its implementation at the .05 statistical level. Additionally, the application demonstrated empirical performance enhancements by reducing service time by over 98% (from an average of 1-3 days to only 10 minutes per transaction) and achieving a 100% reduction in paper form usage.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion:</strong> Replacing the traditional paper-based system with the developed application effectively resolves the issues of operational delays and data access limitations. It facilitates convenience through smartphone accessibility and significantly increases overall user satisfaction with the faculty's audiovisual equipment management system.</p> Rutchanoo Boonkhem Jidapa Poogpan Copyright (c) 2026 SciTech Research Journal 2026-08-30 2026-08-30 9 2 91 112 Development of the Line BOT system, Maps and building plans within Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University for personnel, students, and the general public https://ph02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jstrmu/article/view/265211 <p><strong>Background and Objective:</strong> In an era where information technology plays a crucial role in daily life, fast and convenient access to information is essential, especially in the context of educational institutions, which are vast and have numerous buildings. Finding directions or locations within a university can be difficult for staff, students, and the general public who visit or use services. Therefore, the application of chatbot technology to provide maps and building plans via the LINE application, a widely popular platform, is an approach that can enhance communication and provide information within the university. The objectives of this research are: 1. Develop a Line Bot with maps and building plans; 2. Study satisfaction with the efficiency of using the Line Bot with maps and building plans.</p> <p><strong>Research Methodology:</strong> The sample consisted of 100 staff, students, and the general public using purposive sampling. The research instruments included 1) a system performance assessment form and 2) a satisfaction questionnaire. Statistics used included percentages, means, and standard deviations.</p> <p><strong>Results:</strong> The development of the Line Bot system with maps and building plans revealed the following: The majority of respondents were male (56 percent) and had a bachelor's degree (42 percent). The main sample group was students (50 percent), followed by the general public (16 percent) and permanent employees (9 percent). In terms of work experience, it was found that most respondents were in the 31–45 year age range (35 percent), reflecting a diverse target group that can effectively use the data to develop a system that meets actual usage needs. The results of the satisfaction study on the performance of the Line Bot map and building layout system found that 100 users were highly satisfied with the overall performance of the Line BOT system ( = 4.40, SD = 0.56). The functions rated as most appropriate were 1) the overall application functionality ( = 4.65, SD = 0.49), 2) the number of network connections ( = 4.62, SD = 0.56), and 3) the application functionality ( = 4.52, SD = 0.75), reflecting the system's ability to efficiently respond to user needs.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion:</strong> The results of the study revealed a high level of performance for the system used in the research ( = 4.40, SD = 0.56). The most notable functions were the overall application functionality, network connections, and application functionality, reflecting the system's ability to efficiently respond to user needs.</p> Phongnut Aksorn Copyright (c) 2026 SciTech Research Journal 2026-08-30 2026-08-30 9 2 113 126 The Use of Agricultural Automation Services of Oil Palm Farmers in Na Cha Luai District Ubon Ratchathani Province https://ph02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jstrmu/article/view/265875 <p> </p> <p>This research aimed to 1) personal, social, and economic factors; 2) knowledge regarding automated agricultural services; 3) the utilization of automated agricultural services; and 4) factors associated with the utilization of automated agricultural services among oil palm farmers in Na Chaluai District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The sample consisted of 259 oil palm farmers. Data were collected using questionnaires. Statistical analyses included frequency, percentage, mean, minimum, maximum, standard deviation, and Chi-square tests.</p> <p> The findings indicated that most farmers were male and aged over 50 years. The majority held a bachelor’s degree and owned no more than 10 rai of agricultural land, with annual income exceeding 250,000 baht per year and expenses not exceeding 60,000 baht per year. Most farmers had 7–9 years of farming experience and were not members of oil palm farmer groups. They had not received any training in automation systems, drones, or robotics. The Tenera variety was the most widely cultivated due to its drought tolerance. Overall, farmers demonstrated a moderate level of knowledge regarding automated agricultural services, whereas their opinions toward agricultural service utilization were at a high level. In the hypothesis testing indicated that group membership and prior training were significantly associated with factors affecting the use of automation services in oil palm plantations in all dimensions (p ≤ 0.05).
