Geographical Information Systems of Wharf on the West of Chao Phraya River

Abstract

This paper proposed the application of GIS in geographical database system of wharfs that arelocated on the West of Chao Phraya River total 42 wharves. By integrating data from multiple agencies andsurveying. The database system is applied by using ArcView GIS 3.2 software, details of each wharf aredisplayed in photographs. On the screen, the system will show its details, for example name, size, quantityof warehouses, including its geographical photographs. The application of Geographical database systemis useful for searching specific information of each wharf on the Chao Phraya River. Moreover, this applicationis decision support system to identify priority area for preparation of the public service plan andtransportation system development.
