E-Map Tour version 1.0 : Geographic Information Systems Software for Present Tourism of Phuket Province

Abstract

The “E-Map Tour version 1.0” software was designed and developed to give information abouttourism of Phuket province from the application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for developingmap from Quickbird satellite aerial photographs and software for tourism of Phuket province databasemanagement by MySQL software. This software is easy to use and the database is able to be update byrunning on the PC or labtop. Its working system can be divided in to two parts. The first one shows thegeographic information about tourism in Thai and English language such as streets and locations in mapsand aerial photographs and zoom in-out and other information of the tourist attractions such as highlightsand pictures of each for general users. The second stores and shows the database which is used in the firstpart by administrator. In this part, the administrator can update and add more database in this program.
