Factors Affecting Students’ Computer Learning in Governmental Secondary Schools : A Case Study at Lopburi Province

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the factors affecting computer learning achievementof secondary school students in government schools where were in Lopburi province. The samplewas 495 students who were stratified random sampling. Data was gathered by questionnaires andtests and analyzed by using percentage, chi-square, and path analysis.

The findings indicated that the time spent to go to school, parents occupation, parentseducational level, the ratio of students per teacher, teachers degree, absent records, and methodsof teaching affected to students learning achievement. Learning attitude affected directly to learningachievement and indirectly through students adjustment to friends, occupational interests,achievement motivation, responsibility, and basic skills in operating computer. Students adjustmentto friends affected directly to learning achievement. Occupational interests resulted directly tolearning students achievement and indirectly through achievement motivation which affecteddirectly to learning achievement and indirectly through responsibility and basic skills in operatingcomputer. Responsibility affected directly to learning achievement and indirectly through basicskills in operating computer which affected directly to learning achievement.
