Science and Innovation of Advanced Materials (SIAM)

SIAM, an official journal of the Materials Research Society-Thailand, publishes review and original research articles on developments of advanced functional materials.
Aims and Scope
The journal emphasizes on syntheses and applications of nanostructured materials, biomaterials, smart materials and devices as well as novel characterization techniques for structures and properties of materials.
Traditional ceramics, metals, polymers as well as their composites are also topics of consideration.

The journal publishes 2 types of articles:

2. Original Research Articles
Peer Review
All manuscripts are subjected to double-blind peer review by 2 independent reviewers.
Language
SIAM welcomes the manuscript submission only in English.
Authors must adhere to academic writing standards and ensure their manuscripts are reviewed by a language expert before submission.
Publication Schedule
The journal releases two issues per year, following the schedule below:
- Issue No. 1: January-June
- Issue No. 2: June-December
Open Access
The journal operates on the ThaiJO online platform and the Open Journal Systems (OJS), an open-access journal service platform managed by the Thai-Journal Citation Index (TCI) Centre. This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Publication Fee
SIAM is a diamond open access journal funded by the Materials Research Society-Thailand, which means there are no article processing charges (APC) for authors.

Science and Innovation of Advanced Materials (SIAM) is an official peer-reviewed journal of the Materials Research Society-Thailand.
Since the inception, the editorial team based at Walailak University has been responsible for processing manuscripts and managing the journal.
