Abstract

This cross-sectional descriptive research aimed to study critical success factors and organizational support affecting the job performance of medical record technician in community hospitals, Public Health Region 7. The population of the study were 104 Medical Record Technicians in  Public Health Region 7. And 12 key informants were In-depth interview guidelines for the qualitative data gathering. Data analysis was performed by descriptive and inferential by the significance level at 0.05. The results showed that the overall of critical success factors, organizational support and job performance of the Medical Record Technicians were at a high level 3.71 (S.D.=0.44), 3.69 (S.D.=0.44) and 4.02 (S.D.=0.31) respectively. The correlation between critical success factors, organizational support and job performance of the Medical Record Technicians were at the moderate level (r = 0.628, p-value <0.001; r = 0.651, p-value <0.001) respectively. The organizational support ; management and the critical success factors; implementation in areas  could predict the performance of medical record technician in community hospitals in Public Health Region 7 at 51.2 percentage. (R2 = 0.512, p-value < 0.001). By this research the public health organization can be used the plan to improve and develop the performance of medical record technician in community hospitals.
