Administration Factors and Organizational Climate Affecting the Performance of Public Health Officers at Sub-District Health Promoting Hospital in Khon Kaen Province

This cross-sectional descriptive research aimed to study administrative factors and organizational climate affecting the performance of public health officers at sub-district health promoting hospitals in Khon Kaen province, Thailand. The samples were 137 that selected by systematic random sampling from the 277 population of public health officers at sub-district health promoting hospitals and 12 key informants were in In-depth interview guidelines for the qualitative data gathering. The questionnaire was tested for reliability with Cronbach's Alpha Coefficient that was at 0.98. Data was collected between 20th January to 20th February 2020 Statistics was performed by descriptive statistics and inferential statistics by significance at 0.05 level. The result showed that the overall of the administrative factors the organizational climate and the performance of public health officers at high level 3.95 (S.D. = 0.43), 3.96 (S.D. = 0.47) and 3.98 (S.D. = 0.51) respectively. The correlation between the administrative factors, the organizational climate and the performance of public health officers were at high level (r= 0.746, p-value < 0.001, r= 0.863, p-value < 0.001) respectively. The time of administration factors and the fourth variables of organizational climate including standard, risk, warmth and conflict could predict the performance of public health officers at sub-district health promoting hospitals in Khon Kaen province at 75.2 percentage (R2= 0.752, p-value < 0.001). The results of this research showed that public health organization can be using the results of this study to make the plan to improve and develop the performance of public health officers at sub-district health promoting hospitals.
