Abstract

The aim of this study is to discover significance criteria of raw materials supplier selection. Therefore, this research study's main objective was to systematically select cassava farmers supplying raw material to cassava starch production plants in four provinces. An Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) technique was applied to design multi-level structure. Various decision elements were determined include Product, Process, Delivery and Relationship along with various minor decision elements. Then, the Fuzzy Scoring Method (FSM) was used to compare the score of the farmers. Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) was applied to combine the weight analysis scores for the significance of the factors obtained from the AHP and the scores of the farmers obtained from the FSM to select the qualified farmers to prepare agricultural contracts with the cassava starch factories. The results showed that the selected farmers appeared to be affirmed by the opinion of the factory experts. This could indicate that the proposed selection system could be applied in real-world situations.
