ความเสี่ยงในการเกิดภาวะล้มละลายจากค่าใช้จ่ายด้านสุขภาพของผู้สูงอายุไทย

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความชุกและความรุนแรงของการเกิดภาวะล้มละลายจากค่าใช้จ่ายด้านสุขภาพ รวมถึงศึกษาอิทธิพลของประเภทของสิทธิการรักษาพยาบาลและปัจจัยด้านสุขภาพที่มีต่อความเสี่ยงในการเกิดภาวะล้มละลายจากค่าใช้จ่ายด้านสุขภาพของผู้สูงอายุไทย โดยใช้ข้อมูลทุติยภูมิของแผนงานวิจัยเรื่อง ความอยู่ดีมีสุขของผู้สูงอายุไทย (Well-being of the Elderly in Thailand-HART) รอบที่ 2 จากสถาบันบัณฑิตพัฒนบริหารศาสตร์ พ.ศ. 2560 (WAVE 2) กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือผู้สูงอายุที่อายุตั้งแต่ 60 ปีขึ้นไป จำนวน 1,613 คน ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ผู้สูงอายุวัยต้นมีความชุกในการเกิดภาวะล้มละลายจากค่าใช้จ่ายด้านสุขภาพมากกว่าช่วงวัยอื่นๆ แต่ผู้สูงอายุวัยปลายมีความรุนแรงของความเสี่ยงในการเกิดภาวะล้มละลายจากค่าใช้จ่ายด้านสุขภาพสูงกว่าผู้สูงอายุวัยกลางและวัยต้น การศึกษาอิทธิพลของประเภทของสิทธิการรักษาพยาบาลและปัจจัยด้านสุขภาพพบว่า ปัจจัยด้านสุขภาพเป็นตัวแปรทำนายที่สำคัญเพียงอย่างเดียวที่มีผลต่อการเกิดภาวะล้มละลาย โดยมีตัวแปรที่มีระดับนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ได้แก่ จำนวนโรคเรื้อรัง การประเมินสุขภาพจิตใจ และการประเมินสุขภาพกาย
