Abstract

This paper has great potential to estimate the population variance in presence of non-response. Improved class of estimators is suggested, and their properties are discussed. To prove the theoretical findings, simulation studies are carried out and empirical studies are also performed on real data sets, which show the dominance of the proposed class of estimators over traditional ratio estimator under non-response. Results are interpreted and suitable recommendations have been made to the survey practitioners.
