Estimation of Finite Population Mean by Using Median Type Estimators in Two-Stage Sampling
Keywords:

This paper suggests some median based estimators in two-stage sampling (TSS) with unequal first and second-stage sampling units. Expressions for bias and mean square error (MSE) are derived up to the first-order approximation. In an empirical study, the proposed estimators are compared with existing estimators. The results explain that the proposed class of estimators performs much better than all other considered estimators.
