Publication Ethics

Rattanakosin Journal of Science and Technology (RJST) is committed to maintaining ethical standards in publishing. Therefore, all parties involved in this publication have to be informed and strictly comply with the principles and standards of ethics in publishing. The duties and responsibilities of those parties have been determined as follows:

1. Duties and responsibilities of the editorial team

- Announcement of procedures for preparing manuscripts and other necessary details that must comply with those who are interested in submitting articles and the general public.

 - If there is any fee such as publication fee, manuscript managing fee, or other expenses that are charged from authors, all criteria and rates must be informed to those who are interested in submitting articles or the general public.

 - Duplicate typing and plagiarism have to be checked.                 

- Implement a process for evaluating the quality of articles without bias. Fair and without delay by experts in that field.

- Disclosure of the information about the author and evaluator of the article to unrelated persons is strictly prohibited during the publication process. This manner also applied to the contents and information of articles that have not yet been published.

- Published articles are selected according to their quality. Accepting or publishing research articles solely for the benefit of the author or the journal without considering the quality assessment by the evaluator is strictly forbidden.

- Do not refuse to publish an article that is suspected of being unethical, the evidence must be investigated clearly, and inform the author for clarification before rejecting the article.

 - Does not take part in the decision to select the articles the editor is the author or has a related interest.              

- Do not request citations of any work to increase the number of citations of the journal or to increase the number of citations of one's own or partisan.              

- There is a system for complaining about the decisions of the editorial team and making complaints about articles published in the journal.              

- There is a system for correcting serious errors in articles, removing articles found to violate research ethics, and not neglecting when errors and unethical research conduct of articles published in journals are found.

 

2. Duties and responsibilities of the evaluators

- The article maintains confidentiality and does not reveal any information about the article that is in the review process.

 - Evaluate the quality of articles objectively without bias.              

 - Do not suggest that authors cite any works to increase the number of citations of their own or partisan.       

- Submit assessment results on time.              

- If there is a conflict of interest with the author of the evaluated article, the editorial team must be notified.

 - If the author of the article is found to have violated ethics, such as plagiarizing academic work, data fabrication, and falsification, the evaluator must inform the editorial team.

 

3. Duties and responsibilities of the authors

- The Article submitted for consideration to journals must not be submitted to other journals or academic publications.

- The article submitted for consideration for publication must not contain any part that is plagiarized both of oneself and others and the work is properly and completely referenced.

- Do not create false information or distort information in reporting research results.

- Strictly follow the ethics regarding authorship, that is, the name of all authors appearing in the article must have made a significant contribution to the research, and do not ignore or omit the names of any persons who were important in conducting the research from the article.

- If there are many authors, all authors must approve the manuscript and its submission for journal consideration.
