Abstract
This research has studied hydrogen production from glycerol at three different procedures; steam reforming, partial oxidation and auto thermal reforming processes. Factors affecting the process are analyzed to find an optimal operating condition. Hydrogen production process is simulated via HYSYS program. In addition, environmental impact assessment is studied. The results show that steam reforming process has the highest efficiency as the highest H2 production yield. However, steam reforming process needs more energy because of endothermic reaction. Moreover, partial oxidation process has greater environmental impact compared with steam reforming and auto thermal reforming processes as the highest gas emissions.
