Abstract
At the present, the dissolved air floatation/filtration system (DAF/F) is widely used in the production of potable water. Compared to the conventional system, which comprises of the sedimentation and the filtration, DAF/F has different advantages and vice versa. This paper presents the comparative study of the efficiency of water supply production between these two different systems. The comparison included both the descriptive study and also the development and application of the indexes to indicate the capability of the potable water as considering volume of the tanks used in the systems, electricity consumption and working of production-related operators. Information from two water treatment plants in Amata Nakorn Industrial Estates, Chonburi Province is used as the study case.
