Abstract
This article presents a research that was aimed to reveal hidden factors affecting intention of young people towards motorcycle-use reduction program in education place by defining Burapha University’s students as the focused group. The theory of planned behavior and the theory of habit were applied as theoretical framework for developing the assumption model. The results from Structural Equation Modeling suggest “habitual motorcycle usages” as a vital cause of motorcycle using behavior of the focused group and making motorcycle-use reduction is difficulty for them to perform. In contrast, the results also suggest “acceptability, support, and agreement on motorcycle-use reduction program” and “subjective norm” as important factors for moving them from their habitual motorcycle usages.
