Development of Instruction Multimedia based on Behaviorism Theory, Topic: "Hello ASEAN"

Abstract

The purposes of this study were 1) to develop instruction multimedia according to the theory of behaviorism on the topic “Hello ASEAN” with the efficiency standard criterion at 80/80, 2) to study the effectiveness Index (E.I.) of the developed instruction media in multimedia program, and 3) to compare the pretest scores and the post-test scores of the students who studied with the developed instruction multimedia. The samples were 30 sixth-grade students who studied in the second semester of the academic year 2014 at Thairuthwittaya 72 (Tesaban 8) School under Nakhon Udon Thani Municipality Educational Office. They were chosen by a simple random sampling method. The instruments used in this research were 1) the instruction multimedia developed and 2) a leaning achievement test with reliability at 0.85.

            Results of the research were as follows. 1) The instruction multimedia had an efficiency rate at 80.50/80.67. This was consistent with the 80/80 standard criterion. 2) The instruction multimedia had the E.I. at 0.61, more than 0.5. 3.) The students learned by using the instruction multimedia had post-test scores higher than the pre-test score with a statistical significance level at .05.
