The Development of Cattle Trading Mobile Application on Android Operating System

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to analyze and design a mobile cattle trading application according to user’s need.  2) To develop a cattle trading application on the Android operating system 3) to study the assessment of user’s satisfaction results of using the mobile application for cattle trading. This system acts as a trading center and showing various cattle information between sellers, buyers and farmers along with farm address information where users can find the farm address via Google Map. There are 4 factors of application evaluation as follows: the communication between the system and the user, the system functions, the system's capability and the security system. The user’s satisfaction was analyzed using descriptive statistics: frequency, mean, and standard deviation.

            The results of the research were as follows: 1) System Analysis and Design of a mobile cattle trading application created a database using Firebase according to user’s need. 2) There were 3 modules of application which were a system user, system functions and database and 3)  The user’s satisfaction of application consisted of 4 parts as follows: 3.1) the system's ability to communicate between the system and the user was in the high satisfaction evaluation with mean value of 4.32  3.2) The correctness of the system functions was in the high level with mean value of 4.23   3.3) The system's capability was in the high level with mean value of 4.17 and  3.4) the security system  assessment has the average of 3.96 at a high level and the overall user satisfaction of the mobile cattle trading application was in the high level.
