Main Article Content
Abstract
A research project presents the study conducted at Supreme Precision Manufacturing Co., Ltd. To reduce the defects from machine parts production processes by relying on the concepts of production quality control. The analysis of problems for defected parts and collection of data were done by using inspection sheet, Pareto diagram, and cause and effect diagram. The collection of defect parts data from April to June 2017, which was shown the problem of 15 Series 1 Piece Pinpoint Tip was caused by its bigger size, while the problem of Housing UNC was caused by non concentric configuration. The defected parts exhibited 45.10% and 45.10%, respectively. In addition, the analysis conducted to determine the outputs based on the principle of quality control and two priority factors revealed that have 7 causes and effects of the problems on defected parts were mostly brain stroming and establishing a standard operation procedure for Offset Tool adjustment and make Jig for center inspection. After improvement, the data was collected from November 2017 to January 2018 was shown that, the defects of 15 Series 1 Piece Pinpoint Tip were reduced by 34.78% and the ones of Housing UNC were reduced by 52.17%
