Abstract

In this paper, we are interested to study two Diophantine equations gif.latex?p^4+2q^4=z^2and gif.latex?p^4-2q^4=z^2 where p,q are prime numbers. The results of this study, we found that the Diophantine equation gif.latex?p^4-2q^4=z^2 has only one non-negative integer solution, that is gif.latex?(p,q,z)=(3,2,7) for the Diophantine equationgif.latex?p^4+2q^4=z^2 has no solution.
