The Study of Learning Achievement and in using Application on Tablet about ASEAN for First Grade Students

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to compare the pretest scores with posttest score after learning from the application 2) to compare the learning achievements of students who learned by tablets to the conventional instruction group in the topic of ASEAN Community. The sample group in this research was classified into two groups, the experimental group of the cooperative learning of Tablets and the conventional method 3) to study an application usage of Tablets and 4) to study the students’ satisfaction on the developed application in Tablet Instruction.The research tools used in this study were the application in Tablet, and the achievement test with the quality in content validity. the behavior-in-classroom observation form, the behavior-at-home observation form and the satisfaction questionnaire The research results were as follows ; 1) The students post-test scores after studying through application in Tablet were higher than the students pre-test scores at .05 level which is statistically significant. 2) The learning achievements of students who learned by tablets was also higher than and conventional instruction group at 0.05 level. 3) Most students who learned from the application in class were characterized by the use of a single and swop to alternating groups, and had been interested in application more than 10 minutes. Most students learned from application in Tablet Instruction during the time after dinner at home. It was found that 80% of the parents thought that using the application on the Tablet Instruction did not affect students’ participation in the family activities. 4) The students’ satisfaction on the developed was at the highest level.
