Herb and Medicinal Properties Information Services with AI and NLP

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1) to collect the properties of herb plants found in the herb garden of Plak Mai Lai temple, Tung Kwang subdistrict, Kampangsan district, Nakhon Pathom and 2) to develop and find out the efficiency of the information system of herb and medicinal properties information services using artificial intelligence based on natural language processing concepts. Research methodology consists of: 1) develop research tools, 2) develop an experiment tool and 3) analyze and evaluate. The experiment tool is the information system of herb and medicinal properties information services using artificial intelligence based on natural language processing concepts, developed according to system development life cycle, on Apache web server service. User interface was designed and developed from HTML5, CSS and Bootstrap.  Reloaded data was managed by jQuery working together with AJAX. Responsive web application was developed connected to MySQL database by PHP scripts.  Data collection tool are system performance evaluation form and user satisfaction form which were passed IOC assessment from 5 experts. 


The findings of the research are: 1) from the survey and data collection of herb and their components properties from 508 herb plants found in the 92 rai, 1 ngan, 97 square wa (156,800 square meters) of Plak Mai Lai temple herb garden, together with sentences including symptom describing words, 373 cases, could be applied to find out the accuracy of natural language processing concepts which was 82.35 percent, and 2) from the performance evaluation of the information system of herb and medicinal properties information services using artificial intelligence based on natural language processing concepts are: 1) the overall performance was in the highest level ( gif.latex?\overline{X} = 4.68, S.D. = 0.47), and 2) the overall satisfaction was also in the highest level ( gif.latex?\overline{X} = 4.70, S.D. = 0.50).
