The Development of Data Visualization Dashboard System: A Case Study of Computer Engineering Students in Industrial Education Program Faculty of Technical Education, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi

Abstract
This research aimed to: 1) develop a data visualization system (dashboard); and 2) study users’ opinions toward the system. The research applied the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), using Looker Studio as the main tool for system development. Data were collected using a five-point rating scale questionnaire. The sample group consisted of seven lecturers in the Computer Engineering Program, Faculty of Technical Education, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi. The study of users’ opinions toward the developed system was divided into three aspects: design, data analysis, and data visualization. The design aspect was rated at a high level ( = 4.43, S.D. = 0.53). Users emphasized ease of use for non-experts and the use of colors to highlight important information. However, limitations were found in displaying data on various devices, such as smartphones. The data analysis aspect was rated at a high level (
= 4.42, S.D. = 0.63). The presented data were accurate, complete, and could effectively support decision-making. However, in-depth analysis still requires improvement to increase flexibility. The data visualization aspect was also rated at a high level (
= 4.36, S.D. = 0.60). Users indicated that the use of charts and interactive functions helped facilitate data exploration, although data retrieval performance still needs improvement. In conclusion, the data visualization system can effectively support users’ analysis and decision-making while indicating areas for future improvement to enhance system efficiency.
