FEASIBILITY STUDY OF A CONTAINER REPAIRING FACTORY ESTABLISHMENT IN SONGKHLA

Abstract

The objective of this research was to investigate a feasibility of a containers repairing factory establishment in Songkhla. There were 4 aspects in this research: marketing, technical, management and financial. The target market of this project was classified into groups: ship containers (transport by ship, 90%) and land containers (transport by truck, 10%). The process layout concept was employed to design the factory. According to the management analysis, the functional organization was suggested for the project. The investment was projected at 71,003,755 baht. Approximately of 35,503,756 baht was the stockholder, ownership and 35,500,000 baht was long-term loan. The net present value (NPV) was 219,364,771 baht. The internal rate (IRR) was 56.39%. At minimum attractive rate of return (MARR) of 20.53%. The payback period was 2 years. In conclusion, the results confirmed that there was a high feasibility to set up a containers repairing factory in Songkhla.
