International Journal of Building, Urban, Interior and Landscape Technology (BUILT) was founded in 2010, publishing its first issue in 2011. It has gradually grown over the past decade to become the most widely cited open-access journal in the field of Building, Urban, Interior, and Landscape Technology, with its most recent volume publishing over 130 articles. It is now indexed by Thailand Citation Index (TCI) after undergoing a rigorous review process.
As we enter the year 2023, Professor Dr. Pusit Lertwattanaruk who has served as BUILT Editor-In-Chief for its entire existence to date will continue to be around and is devoting more energy to the launch of an open-access journal devoted to short-form articles, and the development of its accessibility Manual.
The Journal has also added new volunteer editors and associate editors to help with the increased workload. The Journal is published and sponsored by the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat University, Thailand.
Aims and Scope:
BUILT is an international peer-reviewed journal focusing on original research in architectural and technological applications. The journal welcomes contributors in the field of "Building-", "Urban-" "Interior-" and "Landscape-" environments to showcase cutting-edge "Technology" in built-environment research. The direction and structure of this journal encompass both the academic realm and professional practices. Generally, articles published in this journal will highlight both the "Theory" and "Applications" aspects of the design and planning of the built environment. The journal serves as a discussion platform for academics, practitioners, and policymakers to identify and critically examine challenging issues in physical designs, in conjunction with the applications of new technologies.
Topics invited for submissions include, but are not limited to, applications and technological developments of:
- Architecture, Interior, and Landscape Design
- Real Estate Development
- Urban Planning & Design
The journal accepts three types of manuscripts:
- Research article (5,000-8,000-word limits)
- Review article (1,500-3,500 -word limits)
- Book review (1,500-4,000 -word limits)
Content registration: BUILT will apply the digital object identifier (DOI) by using CrossRef on the manuscripts published in 2022 onwards. In addition, DOI by CrossRef shall also be used on all previously published manuscripts accordingly. Benefits: (i) Richer metadata makes content useful and easier to find. (ii) Articles are distributing their metadata downstream, making it available to numerous systems and organizations that together help credit and cite the work, report the impact of funding, track outcomes and activity, and more.
