Guidelines for Manuscript Submission and Publication
The Journal of Engineering and Innovation is an academic journal focusing on engineering and technology, published by the Faculty of Engineering, Ubon Ratchathani University. Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be written in either Thai or English and prepared in accordance with the journal’s prescribed format. The requirements for manuscript submission and publication are as follows.
1. Criteria for Manuscript Acceptance
1.1 Manuscripts must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere and must not have been previously published in any journal or conference proceedings, either domestically or internationally. If duplicate publication exceeding 20% for research articles or 15% for academic articles is detected, or if a manuscript is found to have been submitted to multiple publication venues simultaneously, the Editorial Board will immediately terminate the review process and take appropriate further action.
1.2 Manuscripts must demonstrate originality and creativity, possess academic merit, present complete and substantive content, and comply with accepted academic standards.
1.3 All articles accepted for publication must undergo peer review by at least three qualified reviewers per manuscript. Reviewers may request revisions, additions, or improvements to ensure the quality and suitability of the manuscript for publication.
1.4 The Editorial Board reserves the right to make editorial and formatting adjustments to submitted manuscripts as deemed appropriate.
1.5 The opinions expressed in the articles, including the text, illustrations, and tables published in the journal, are solely those of the authors. The Editorial Board accepts no responsibility for such opinions, and the authors bear full responsibility for their published work.
1.6 Manuscripts must not infringe copyright, plagiarize, or reproduce or abridge the work of others without proper authorization.
1.7 For translated or adapted works based on materials originally published in a foreign language, written permission from the copyright holder must be obtained before publication.
1.8 Authors are responsible for ensuring that all references and citations are accurate, appropriate, and complete prior to publication.
2. Peer Review Process
The journal employs a single-blind peer review process. Under this system, reviewers are informed of the authors’ names and affiliations, while the authors are not informed of the reviewers’ identities.
3. Types of Manuscripts Accepted for Publication
The Journal of Engineering and Innovation accepts the following types of manuscripts for peer review:
Research articles
Academic articles
Short communications
Note: Manuscripts written in Thai must include both Thai and English abstracts, with the Thai abstract appearing before the English abstract. Manuscripts written in English are not required to include a Thai abstract.
4. Manuscript Formatting Requirements
Authors must prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the journal’s prescribed formatting requirements and use the journal’s official manuscript template to ensure consistency in presentation and publication standards.
5. References
All citations and references must conform to the reference style prescribed by the journal.
6. Publication Fees
A publication processing fee of THB 1,000 per manuscript will be charged for manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening and proceed to the peer review process.
