Al Policies
The editorial staff at EnNRJ does not view AI as a negative force, but rather as an additional academic tool. Its weaknesses should be anticipated and accounted for, and its use should be documented in clear, honest, and transparent ways.
We have developed separate guidelines for Authors, Reviewers and Editors which can be found below.
For Authors
AI may not be used to collect or process data, make projections, draw insights or analyze conclusions in any way.
It may also not be used for generating graphs, charts or other images.
Authors are welcome to use AI in a responsible, ethical fashion – though strictly as a means to improve the quality of the language in their work.
Examples of appropriate use include drafting and summarizing text, improving readability, and proofreading and polishing content. We especially recognize AI as a valuable tool for non-native English-speaking researchers in this regard.
At the same time, AI often makes factual mistakes in a very authoritative tone, and it easily generates content which may be incomplete, drawn from dubious sources, or carry biases. All AI-generated text should be edited carefully, and reviewed by more than one author.
Control and oversight are very important. Because AI is not an individual, it cannot be held responsible for any errors or mistakes which appear in your manuscript. At all times, you are always responsible for all content which you submit.
AI also cannot be listed as a co-author – though it should be mentioned within the article, and at times, in multiple sections. Please include the name of the tool, how it was used and when, either within your Acknowledgements or Author Contributions section. Some extensive usage may also be included in the Methodology section.
Please feel free to send any AI-related questions you may have to ennrjournal@gmail.com.
Our Editorial Staff reserves the right to reject manuscripts on the grounds of any AI misuse at any stage of the review and publication process.
For Reviewers
The contributions of reviewers to research are invaluable, and their expertise is irreplaceable. Their credibility is also paramount – which is why we request Reviewers not use Artificial Intelligence in any way.
It is important to note here that EnNRJ recommends that new research never be put into any AI mechanisms. Please note that your research, and the the work of others, may contain sensitive information, copyrighted innovation and more – all of which AI records, freely reproduces and often distorts.
Ultimately, we do acknowledge that we cannot know if Reviewers are using AI. But we do hold them responsible for all the details and accuracy of their work. We also understand the Researcher-Reviewer-Journal relationship is built on trust, and at all times we do our best to grow that relationship further.
For Editors
The editors and staff of EnNRJ do not use AI in any way while writing, producing, editing and publishing the journal.
Changes to Authorship
This policy of EnNRJ concerns the addition, removal, or rearrangement of author names in accepted manuscripts.
Before the manuscript is accepted
All submissions requesting a change of authorship during the review process must be made in writing. Please use the provided form and send it to the Editorial Office of EnNRJ at ennrjournal@gmail.com.
The form includes: (a) the reason for the change to the author list and (b) written confirmation from all authors who have been added, removed, or reordered. Every party must confirm that they agree to the change(s) by signing the form. However, only one copy of the form should be submitted, and it should be sent by the corresponding author only.
All approval for these changes during revision is at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.
After the manuscript has been accepted / Post-publication
EnNRJ does not accept change requests in any way. This includes any addition, removal, or rearrangement of author names, or authorship credits in the manuscript.
All queries in this regard should be sent directly to the Editor.

First Publication Online
Once final proofs have been received and accepted the article will be published online. This is the first official citable publication, and the article will thus be marked with a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). After release of any following printed versions, the paper can also be cited by issue and page number.
DOI may also be used to cite and link to electronic documents. The DOI consists of a unique alpha-numeric character string which is assigned to a document by the publisher upon the initial electronic publication. The assigned DOI never changes.
Copyrights
Copyright Transfer
The copyright for published articles is immediately transferred to Environment and Natural Resources Journal (EnNRJ), which is organized and operated by the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, at Mahidol University.
Accepted articles cannot be published until the Editor has received the appropriate signed copyright transfer.
Copyright Notice
All articles are published under the copyright of Environment and Natural Resources Journal and effective when the article is first-accepted for publication. This in turn grants EnNRJ all rights for the work, so that both parties may be protected from the consequences of unauthorized use. Partial or total publication of any EnNRJ article requires written consent from the publication’s editors.
