บทคัดย่อ

ซีเมนต์ปอร์ตแลนด์สีขาว (White Portland Cement, WPC) เป็นวัสดุเซรามิกที่มีองค์ประกอบหลัก ได้แก่ ไตรแคลเซียมซิลิเกต (Tricalcium Silicate) และไดแคลเซียมซิลิเกต (Dicalcium Silicate) ซึ่งมีปริมาณเฟอรัสออกไซด์ต่ำกว่า 0.5% ส่งผลให้มีคุณสมบัติเหมาะสมสำหรับการใช้งานทางการแพทย์ โดยเฉพาะด้านศัลยกรรมกระดูกและทันตกรรม งานวิจัยนี้มุ่งเน้นการพัฒนาวัสดุผสมระหว่างซีเมนต์ปอร์ตแลนด์สีขาวกับนาโนซิลิกา (Nano-Silica) เพื่อปรับปรุงสมบัติทางกลและทางชีวภาพของวัสดุ วัตถุประสงค์หลักของการศึกษาคือการวิเคราะห์ ความเข้ากันได้ทางชีวภาพ และสมบัติทางกลของวัสดุผ่านการทดสอบทางชีวภาพแบบภายนอกสิ่งมีชีวิต (in vitro test) โดยใช้สารละลายจำลองไอออนพลาสมาของเลือด (Simulated Body Fluid, SBF) และความเป็นพิษต่อเซลล์สร้างกระดูก (Cytotoxicity) เบื้องต้นของซีเมนต์ปอร์ตแลนด์สีขาว ผลการทดลองชี้ให้เห็นว่าซีเมนต์ปอร์ตแลนด์สีขาวสามารถเหนี่ยวนำการสร้างกระดูกใหม่ (Osteoinduction) และทำหน้าที่เป็นโครงสร้างรองรับกระดูก (Osteoconduction) โดยพบการก่อตัวของ    ไฮดรอกซีอะพาไทต์ (Hydroxyapatite) บนพื้นผิวของวัสดุหลังจากแช่ในสารละลาย SBF เป็นเวลา 28 วัน นอกจากนี้ยังการทดสอบความเป็นพิษต่อเซลล์สร้างกระดูก (Cytotoxicity) ซึ่งพบว่าเมื่อปริมาณวัสดุเพิ่มขึ้น อัตราการรอดชีวิตของเซลล์ลดลง อันเนื่องมาจากการปลดปล่อยแคลเซียมไฮดรอกไซด์ (Ca(OH)₂) ซึ่งอาจทำให้ค่าความเป็นด่างสูงเกินไป ในการศึกษาสมบัติทางกล พบว่าการเติมนาโนซิลิกาในปริมาณ 1%, 2% และ 3% ส่งผลให้ค่ากำลังรับแรงอัดของวัสดุเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ โดยค่ากำลังรับแรงอัดสูงสุดอยู่ที่ 58.12 MPa เมื่อเติมนาโนซิลิกา 3% ซึ่งเกิดจากการเสริมสร้างโครงสร้างของวัสดุด้วยอนุภาคนาโนซิลิกา ช่วยลดการเกิดรูพรุนและเพิ่มปริมาณเจลแคลเซียมซิลิเกตไฮเดรต (C-S-H) ซึ่งเป็นโครงสร้างสำคัญที่ช่วยเพิ่มความแข็งแรงของวัสดุ ผลการศึกษานี้แสดงให้เห็นว่าการพัฒนาวัสดุผสมโดยการผสมซีเมนต์ปอร์ตแลนด์สีขาวกับนาโนซิลิกาสามารถปรับปรุงสมบัติทางกลและชีวภาพ ทำให้วัสดุดังกล่าวมีศักยภาพสูงในการเป็นวัสดุทดแทนกระดูกสำหรับการใช้งานทางการแพทย์
