Abstract

This research had studied about development of a PID control law for an On/Off actuator. In this paper, This’ll be called Digital PID for designing the controller what have suitability with an On/Off actuator. By comparing with other controller that have been used in many industries such as  On/Off controller and PID controller for using three-controller to control water temperature in a thermal opened system which circulates water all the time and actuator have worked with digital output signal. With comparing from many performance is Rise time, Overshoot, Settling time, and Steady-state error. The input/output signals of each controller was controlled by a UEIPAC-300 device and the embedded real-time hardware in the loop of MATLAB/Simulink.In the conclusion,Digital PID has lowest both overshoot and Steady-state error. With Rise time, Digital PID had this value approximately with On/Off contoller and had Settling time approximately with PID controller.
