RTAF – Educational Evaluation Program

Abstract

Research and development of the RTAF-Educational Evaluation Program is a research and development (R & D) project, which aimed to study and develop the educational evaluation programs for various units of the Royal Thai Air Force. It provides a tool for teachers or related organizations that are responsible for grading the students. The program is developed from the previous research “Grading System” developed in 2009-2011 according to suggestions of the former users. The application testing is done by using the simulated data and the actual implement by units of the Royal Thai Air Force, finally developed into the complete version. All statistic values needed for grading decision such as arithmetic mean, standard deviation, maximum value, minimum value, tolerance, stem and leaf diagram, frequency distributions from 0 to 100 points, linear T-score, normalized T-score and median scoring methods including the summary report and personal grading information individually. The report can be exported to be used with other programs. The research program is developed using MS Access on the input section, the evaluation section and the output section and using MS Excel to verify the results. There are four major steps for the research RTAF-Educational Evaluation Program: 1) the analysis of the original program 2) the design of the program 3) the research and development of the program and 4) the program examination. Research and development of RTAFA-Educational Evaluation Program will be an important tool to provide statistical information for instructors or related organizations for the grading to be more systematic. Furthermore, this program will simplify the grading processes, decrease time-consuming procedures and reduce steps for calculating the statistic values.
