Factors Influential to the Decision to Apply for a Bachelor Degree at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University

Abstract

This research is a study of factors influential to the decision to apply for a Bachelor Degree at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University with the objectives: 1) to study factors influential to the decision to apply for a Bachelor Degree at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University; 2) to compare those factors influential to the decision to apply for a Bachelor Degree at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University with respect to gender, faculty, domicile, and average income per month of the guardian.

            Samples include 343 first-year undergraduates of Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University in regular students for the Academic Year 2019, collected by non-proportional stratified random sampling. A research tool employed is a questionnaire on factors influential to the decision to apply for a Bachelor Degree in Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University. Data is analyzed using frequency, percentage, average
( ), standard deviation (S.D.), t-test and One-way ANOVA analysis.

The research finds that:

1) Factors influential to the decision to apply for a bachelor degree at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University was high ( = 4.07). In the individual factors, it was found that instructor factor had the  highest level of decision-making ( = 4.35), followed by the factors expectation about oneself ( = 4.35) and the factors ease of travel ( = 4.17).

2) Factors influential to the decision to apply for a bachelor degree at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University with respect to gender, domicile, and average income per month of the guardian, are found to be indifferent at the statistical significance different at the 0.05 level. while when considering faculty, it is found to be significance different at the 0.05 level.
