Abstract
Technology Transfer of Bamboo Shoot Processing Machine for Food Preservation Using the Knowledge Management to the Entrepreneurs

The objective of this study was to transfer the participatory technology by using Bamboo Shoot Processing Machine for Food Preservation for planting in order to develop quality of life of the community. This was done by using the principle of knowledge management (KM). It focused on the process of the participatory technology transfer between the technology owners, research team, and entrepreneurs. Participatory in this study were 12 farmers obtained by purposive random sampling. They lived in Baan Maisrisuwan, Khlong Namlai sub-district, Khlonglarn district, Kampaengphet province. The principle of community knowledge management (KM: CPP) was used for the technology transfer activities. Descriptive statistics was used for data analysis and content analysis was used for qualitative data analysis. Percentage, mean, and standard deviation were used for the statistical treatment. Knowledge testing paper and a set of questionnaires on satisfaction were used for data collection. Pretest and posttest on technology transfer were administered with the participants and it was found that the IOC index was equivalent to 1.00 the learning progress on technology of the participants was 67.56 percent. There was a highest level of the participants satisfaction with the Bamboo Shoot Processing Machine for Food Preservation (= 4.63; S.D. = 0.47) the application of the technology could save the expenses at a high level. As a whole, the participants of satisfaction with the developed bamboo shoot processing machine. Moreover, the following characteristics were found at a highest level of satisfaction: convenience in using, understanding in the manual reading, and participating in the bamboo shoot processing machine try-out w e r e satisfied with technology transfer based on the knowledge management at a highest level.
