Abstract
Distribution and behaviour of Irrawaddy dolphin Orcaella brevicornis were studied in 2005 2006. The concentrations of Irrawaddy dolphins were observed in October - February each year. It is concluded that individuals found in 5 months distributed should belong to the same population. Bangpakong River mouth is breeding ground for Irrawaddy dolphin and the mating season may be during October and February based on cow calves was observed. Eel catfish, Plotosus canius , is the main food sources in this area. Therefore, Bangpakong River mouth is the most important area of dolphin-watching ecotourism.
