พฤติกรรมการใช้สารกำจัดศัตรูพืชของเกษตรกรในตำบลแหลมโตนด อำเภอควนขนุน จังหวัดพัทลุง

Abstract

The purpose of this cross-section study was to inlestigare the peslicide preventive behaviors of agriculturists at Laem Tanot Sub-district, Khuankha.un Disrrict, Phauhalung Province during April ro June, 2011. Tbe data were collected from 170 agriculturisrs who used pesticides- Tbe quantitative dara was collecred by interview, and lhe qualitative dala was collected by focus group. Descriplive statistics were used to dalyre such as frequency, percentage, mem, median standard deviation dd Inrerquanile Range.
         The result found that most of them were male (71.2%) maried (94 0%) graduated in secondary scbool {68.2%). An average of peslicides usase experience was 5.5 + 7 years which was mainly in pesricide uses. In addilion, lhe peslicide use bebavior among agriculturist found that an average of spraying was 2 + I nm€s du.ing plantation cycles. Tbey followed the direcrion of uses (97.0%). As well, the haryest was performed backward 15.5 + 30 days. Mostly, they brougbr pesticides form village grocery (78.8%). The purpose of pesticides uses was protecrive (54.1%), wooden stick uses to mix pesticides (65.9%), early moming spraling (82.4%). Most of then were not have any food or drinking dunng spraying (91.80/0). However, there was only lillle sho had smokins durins spEyins (3.1%). Prior 10 spnyins, lhe direclion of wind wd often checked (8.1.1%) and splayins upon wind flows (98.8%). Furftemore, fte obstacle of spmying was spraying obslruction (63.5%) and solvins by wield perforation, cleatrins after uses (97.1%), pounng in area beside plutation (34.0%), uteNil destoying by la flled (64-10/0), and sles (15.3%). The results suggesled thal some agricultuists have a wong habit when using pesticide- This can be improved by providitrg the knowledge and communication in order to chatrge their behavior.
