Abstract

Chitosan extracted from Blue Crab Shell can adsorption of copper(II) ion in synthetic wastewater. In the experiment, the optimum conditions for copper (II) ion adsorption were studied. The optimum conditions for adsorption of copper(II) ion were; the adsorbent 0.5 g/50 mL wastewater, the extraction time 60 minutes at 30 degree Celsius and operating at pH 5 of wastewater. The kinetics adsorption of copper(II) ion by Blue Crab Shell by concern with the correlation coefficient were obtained. The result found related with pseudo second-order reaction.
