Applying Digital Technology to transfer the local wisdom of Hemp woven fabric production

Abstract

This research aims to study the knowledge of local wisdom in the production of hemp fabric and to develop digital technology to transfer knowledge and wisdom in the production of hemp fabric. The sample used was Hemp weaving community enterprise group and 30 youths in the community. The research area is Ban Mae Sa Noi, Pong Yang Subdistrict, Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province In conducting research, research for knowledge and wisdom, surveys, interviews, and community forums will be used to brainstorm ideas in the production process from the cutting process of hemp plants. Drying hemp, peeling bark, pounding strands, splicing hemp fibers spinning hemp fibers into threads crossing, boiling, washing, ironing, weaving, drawing fabric patterns with wax candles. Dyeing fabrics from natural materials then use the knowledge to develop digital technology in the form of video media and website media to disseminate knowledge. The evaluation of digital technology performance was assessed based on the satisfaction of 30 system users. Overall satisfaction was at the highest level with a mean of 4.57 and a standard deviation of 0.58. The order of satisfaction in each aspect from highest to lowest was usability and reliability. In terms of ease of use and in terms of functionality according to system functions, respectively. The results of this research will bring digital technology to disseminate to youth and people in the community to study and learn.
