Aims and Scope

Food Agricultural Sciences and Technology (FAST) is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality researches that advances knowledge in various fields of food, agricultural and biological sciences. Our goal is to support scientific innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration by sharing impactful discoveries and novel interpretations in these fields.

The journal publishes a variety of scholarly works, including research articles and review articles. All submissions undergo a rigorous peer-review process conducted by specialists in the field, ensuring academic integrity and excellence.

The journal covers a broad range of topics

  • Food Science and Technology : Food Chemistry, Processing, Nutrition, and Sensory Evaluation.
  • Agricultural Biotechnology and Crop Science : Innovations in Plant Breeding, Plant Protection, Biotechnology, Soil Science, and Sustainable Agriculture, and Crop Production.
  • Animal and Aquatic Science : Livestock and Aquatic Nutrition, Animal Biotechnology, Reproduction, Farm Management, Animal Products, and Sustainable Production Systems.

Peer Review Process

Types of Articles

Food Agricultural Sciences and Technology (FAST) is published either as a research article or a review article.

  • Research articles: report original research findings in food, agricultural and biological sciences. The research article should include a clear research question, methodology, results, and conclusion. The article should also provide a clear and concise discussion of the research findings, their implications, and their contributions to the relevant field of study. Food Agricultural Sciences and Technology (FAST) does not accept survey or questionnaire-based studies, prospective observational studies, and case studies unless they demonstrate significant impact on community or industry.
  • Review articles: comprehensively review the existing literature on a specific topic in food, agricultural and biological sciences. Review articles should critically analyze and synthesize the literature, identify knowledge gaps, and suggest future research directions. The format and length of review papers are more flexible than research articles.

Language

Food Agricultural Sciences and Technology (FAST) requires that all articles be written in English. Authors must use clear and concise language while ensuring proper grammar and spelling. If English proofreading is necessary after a paper has been accepted, authors must seek assistance from a native English speaker or a professional proofreading service before proceeding with the next stages of publication.

Advertising and Direct Marketing

Food Agricultural Sciences and Technology (FAST)  has no advertising and marketing policies. The journal welcomes all submissions that are in line with the stated aims and scope with no publication charges.

Repository Policy

All publications, manuscripts, and related materials submitted to our repository are  stored in the THAIJO2 system, a national journal management platform supported by the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC).

Journal History

This journal was established in 2015 under the title Research & Knowledge (ISSN: 2408-204X for print, 2630-0400 for online) to serve as a platform for multidisciplinary research dissemination.

In 2020, the journal underwent a transformation and was rebranded as the Science Technology and Engineering Journal (STEJ) (ISSN: 2697-6110 for print, 2697-6072 for online), focusing more specifically on scientific and technological advancements in engineering and related disciplines.

In 2023, to better align with its core research areas, the journal was reestablished under its current name, Food Agricultural Sciences and Technology (FAST) (ISSN: 2822-1001 for print, 2822-101X for online). This change marked a renewed dedication to publishing high-quality research in food, agricultural and biological sciences.

Recently, Food Agricultural Sciences and Technology (FAST) continues to uphold rigorous academic standards, encouraging knowledge exchange and supporting researchers in their contributions to the field.
