ผลของการพรางแสงต่อการเจริญเติบโต ผลผลิตและปริมาณสารเคอร์คูมินในไพล (EFFECT OF SHADING ON GROWTH, YIELD AND CURCUMIN CONTENT OF Zingiber montanum (Koenig) Link ex Dietr. )
Keywords:
Phlai, Shading, Growth, Curcumin ContentAbstract
This study was conducted to determine the effect of shading on growth, yield and curcumin content in rhizome of Zingiber montanum (Koenig) Link ex Dietr. between July 2014 and February 2015 at Maejo University, Chiang Mai. The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design with 4 shade treatments including black net-50% shade, black net-70% shade and 2 sheets of black net-50% shade. The results showed that plant height, number of leaf, pseudo-stem diameter, tillers, number of secondary rhizome, rhizome size, fresh and dry weights of rhizomes and curcumin content were reduced as shading increased. While, non-shading was resulted the highest plant growth, yield and curcumin content. Thus, the cultivation of Z. montanum for high yield and active constituent of raw materials should be grown in full sun.
