Abstract

               This research aimed to 1) design street-style women's clothing inspired by the tin plakat fighting fish using upcycling techniques, 2) create prototypes of the designed clothing, and 3) study satisfaction with the prototypes. Data was collected using questionnaires from 15 women residing in Mueang Surin District. The research was conducted in three phases: (1) Studying tin plakat fighting fish identity through expert interviews, finding distinctive blue-sky and blue-black colors, unique tail fin shapes, and fighting behavior. (2) Designing and creating five prototype styles: crop top with shorts, long-sleeve top with short skirt, short dress, hooded top with long pants, and off-shoulder top with long skirt. (3) Evaluating satisfaction by the target group.The results showed that all five prototypes received the highest satisfaction rating (x̅ = 4.54). Individual ratings for inspiration and wearability were: crop top with shorts (x̅ = 4.6), long-sleeve top with short skirt (x̅ = 4.5), short dress (x̅ = 4.5), hooded top with long pants (x̅ = 4.6), andoff-shoulder top with long skirt (x̅ = 4.13).
