Abstract

Nootropics and food supplements are produced from natural product. There are many mechanisms are action on the nervous system and functioning in neuron that improve the efficiency of learning and memory. Presently, the production of nootropics is a dietary supplement to enhance the cognitive function of the brain. The research must require to prove the possible mechanisms of various natural extracts derived from the phytochemicals. According to update scientific evidence, the possible mechanisms of nootropics such as used as a precursor in the synthesis of neurotransmitters, stimulation of receptors to inhibit the release of neurotransmitters mechanisms related to blood flow in the brain by expanding blood vessels, reducing blood viscosity and there is an antioxidant. Consumption of nootropics and natural food supplements in patient with ischemic stroke, whether caused by exposure to toxins impact from accidents or aging. The optimum dose must consider for safety in consumption of nootropics and natural food supplements.
