Behaviors of Participation in Saving Electricity of the Staff and Students in Faculty of Information Technology

Abstract

The objectives of the research were to: 1) study the knowledge level of the staff and students of the Faculty of Information Technology in the  saving power, and 2) to study the level of participation in the saving Electricity. The target group consisted of 200 academic educational personnel and students of Faculty of Information Technology at Rajabhat MahaSarakham University. The instruments of the research were questionnaire about opinions  and participation.  The statistics used were mean, percentage and standard deviation.

            The results of the research were 1) The majority  of the target group showed knowledge of saving electrical  energy at a high level (63.80 percent) and a medium level (27.15 percent) and low level  at (9.05 percent) 2) the target group indicated participation in saving energy in overall at high level. The the target group had ‘behaviors in using of electrical power where it’s needed and set up the  air conditioner temperature at 25 degrees Celsius.
